Das Kammerensemble hankelmusik hat sich an der Musikhochschule in Dresden gefunden. Ausgangspunkt war die Idee, Stücke zu spielen, die direkt auf die einzelnen Musiker zugeschnitten sind.

Keno Hankel hielt im Sommer 2015 Ausschau nach vielseitigen MusikerInnen und fand so zur Besetzung.

Das Kammerensemble zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass die MusikerInnen aus verschiedensten musikalischen Bereichen zusammenkommen - sowohl aus der Klassik als auch aus Jazz, Pop, über A-cappella und Dubstep bis hin zu Irish Folk.

Im November 2015 begann das Ensemble mit der Probenarbeit und lebte schnell von gemeinsamer Spielfreude, Neugierde und der Synergie zwischen den MusikerInnen.
Die Spielferitgkeiten der Ensemblemitglieder fließen in den Schaffensprozess der Kompositionen ein.

The group hankelmusik has been founded in Dresden, Germany, at the University of Music Carl Maria von Weber. The basic idea was to play music, which is particularly written for the musicians of the group.

The composer Keno Hankel was looking for musicians with a huge range of different qualities and succeeded to form the ensemble as it is existing today.

The outstanding of hankelmusik is due to the various genres of music coming together in one group - there are influences of Classical Music, Jazz, Pop, A-Cappella as well as Dubstep and Irish Folk.

In November 2015 the ensemble started their work and it is thriving of curiosity, enjoyment of playing and the synergy between the musicians . The different styles and skills of playing are constantly influencing the creative process of composing.
